Our School

Ofsted

OFSTED; then and now.

On 1st and 2nd May 2014 the school was inspected by Ofsted and was most recently revisited on October 17th 2017.

We were very pleased that the 2014 and the 2017 reports highlighted what a good school we are.

Inspectors recognised that students make well above average progress in the main school and the sixth form has the excellent capacity for sustained improvement.

Both the inspectors’ reports demonstrated why parents want to send their children here and why we are one of the top performing schools in Norfolk, with GCSE results significantly above the national average.

Each page of the reports positively detailed the work and achievements of the school.

We take great pride in our academic success. However, a good education is not just about good examination results. It’s about a ‘rounded’ education that enables students to be intelligent, free-thinking individuals who will be articulate and knowledgeable participants in our democratic society. For this reason we were delighted to see that both inspections recognised our commitment to SMSC and the safety and happiness of the students.

In conclusion, students, parents, governors, staff and the wider community could be rightly proud of both reports and we look forward to showing the next inspectors that we have made even more improvement whenever they return.

Dr Andrew Richardson, Headteacher

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
